From 1st March 2024, Social Pantry will deliver its high impact yet socially and environmentally conscious events at London’s defining landmark, creating an unparalleled event and dining experience in London.
Founded by Alex Head in 2011, Social Pantry has evolved to become so much more than simply a catering company. Alex started the business from her kitchen table with a pure passion to create showstopping events with minimal environmental impact, an issue so often overlooked in the catering industry. Since its inception, Alex has forged relationships with the socially-led and responsible suppliers, and has produced hundreds of events, from intimate dinners to large scale corporate catering. Delivering high-end bespoke events and seasonal menus whilst simultaneously investing in its conscientious approach to employment, sustainability and social enterprise, Alex has created a unique business model, which now operates across four sites with a 70-strong team of diverse individuals.
From its commitment to employ more prison leavers year on year, to utilising zero-waste initiatives, and creating menus that focus around nose-to-tail and root-to-flower dishes, Social Pantry strives to deliver exceptional quality service and events at minimal social and environmental cost.
The partnership between Social Pantry and Tower Bridge will create an unrivalled event space in London. With three distinct areas, the high-level Glass Floors on the Walkways offer panoramic views of the city and the majestic Victorian Engine Rooms, which houses the original machinery once used to lift the bridge, are both available for private evening hire. The North Tower Lounge, with its stunning neo-gothic architecture, is available for smaller daytime functions, ideal for weddings and civil-partnerships. Social Pantry will work in tandem with the venue and clients to produce bespoke events and menus from canapés and cocktails, to innovative food and drink stations.
