The final shortlist for the first Manchester PA of the Year Awards has been announced. The awards, created and produced in partnership by Robert Walters and the Manchester PA Network, seek to celebrate exceptional PAs, EAs and support professionals in the region
The 21 shortlisted entrants will be recognised at an exclusive red-carpet gala dinner at the Imperial War Museum North on November 17th this year.
Entrants have been nominated across seven categories that acknowledge the invaluable role that support professionals play in making businesses a success, including organising corporate events, managing a team and showing vital business initiative.
Gill Owen, Robert Walters Managing Director – UK comments:
“We’re delighted to be working in partnership with the Manchester PA Network to create the Manchester PA of the Year Awards. We know from personal experience the vital role support professionals play, both within our own business and to our clients, and we’re extremely pleased to have the opportunity to celebrate their contribution.”
“Manchester is coming to play an increasingly central role in the success of the UK, and support personnel in the region have been a key factor into securing the success of local employers.”
“As the recruiter of choice for business support appointments across the North we are aware of the diverse range of responsibilities these professionals take on and the dedication they show.”
Other sponsors have come together with Robert Walters and the Manchester PA Network to support the awards, with several sponsored awards categories. Review Travel, ITV, Make Events, PWC and PZ Cussons have all shown taken the opportunity to get involved in the awards by sponsoring a particular category.
Gill Owen continues;
“The response we’ve had from sponsors and entrants has been fantastic. With the announcement of the final shortlist we’ve already seen huge demand for tickets to the awards ceremony. We’re confident that this will be the start of an annual event to raise the profile of the support professionals and their businesses in the region and the overdue acknowledgement in Manchester of the hard work of these staff.
