ROBERT WALTERS UK JOBS INDEX – Q2 2017
- The number of secretarial and support vacancies in the UK rose by 19% in the second quarter of 2017 compared to the same time last year.
- This outstripped the average level of growth across all sectors, which stood at 11%.
The latest Robert Walters UK Jobs Index has revealed that secretarial and support vacancies have risen across the UK, with the number of jobs available in the second quarter of 2017 up 19% compared to the same time last year.
Despite uncertainty surrounding the General Election, many businesses continued to expand during the second quarter of this year, driving demand for secretarial and business support professionals to help ensure sustainable growth.

While opportunities are available for business support professionals across a range of specialisms are available, team supports have been in particularly high demand.
For these positions, secretarial professionals who can demonstrate the ability to adapt to a changing workload, including taking on elements of project management, are highly sought after.
