9th November will see a gathering “on the beach” at DeskLodge, Basing View, Basingstoke as the company unveils its unique, co-working and office space. The event will showcase founder, Tom Ball’s second highly themed workspace in a successful series that is building from Bristol to meet his mission of creating the most productive workspace on earth. DeskLodge Basingstoke offers a beach-like area with beach huts as sound-proofed telephone cabins, a “Water Mill” meeting room and a New York-themed area with rooms named after the city’s famous streets, breath-taking murals and much amusing memorabilia.
Initially inspired by visiting the offices of a famous technology company and wanting to make inspiring workspaces widely available, Ball built DeskLodge Bristol famed for its green area with picnic tables, its Lego booth and Tardis (a hidden, quiet-working area). Desklodge Bristol has over 500 seats and is now sold out with an ever-increasing waiting list. Of his decision to bring the DeskLodge concept to Basingstoke, he explains, “Basingstoke is a somewhat hidden hotbed of innovative small companies and ambitious larger companies, keen to attract great talent. DeskLodge Basingstoke has something for both these types of companies. Basingstoke is also easily accessed and beautifully located between the great incubator universities of London, Surrey and Southampton. We’re proud to be a pioneer in the town’s new Enterprise Zone!”
DeskLodge aims to create a collaborative community where freelancers mix with cutting edge established companies, enjoying the benefits of their enriching workspace without the hassle of building maintenance and management. Freshly ground coffee and tea are on tap for free as are super-high-speed WiFi and Internet connectivity.
Much of the Desklodge office space will be available for rent immediately after the 9th November launch.
