Often called the ‘home of cricket’, Lords’ history dates back to 1787 when Thomas Lord opened his first cricket ground on Dorset Fields.
The Lord’s grounds are home to the Marylebone Cricket Club’s museum; the collection housed here was begun in 1864, while the museum itself was opened by the Duke of Edinburgh in 1953.
