Barbican Business Events has teamed up with Worldspan to meet the growing need for full event services amongst the venues’ clients, particularly associations and smaller corporate events.
The partnership will see Worldspan deliver services under the Barbican Business Events brand including delegate registration and management, production, transport and accommodation. The technical support element will be supported by Anna Valley, a well-known creative AV supplier, specialising in corporate events.
Head of Barbican Business Events, Jackie Boughton comments: “As a leading venue many clients come to us as their first point of contact and build their event when they know the venue is secure and in place. We are frequently then asked to support in additional ways, much of which is possible by our incredibly talented and dedicated team – but sometimes you need that extra set of skills. Worldspan is an industry leader, with tried and tested capabilities. This partnership will see them supporting our clients as and when necessary to ensure they have a great event here at the Barbican.”
Worldspan’s Head of Business Development, Chris Walters responded with enthusiasm and a desire to see the partnership grow as the teams work ever more closely together: “This partnership works superbly for both organisations. The Barbican is one of the world’s leading venues for events, particularly in the association market. We will be able to support their clients, using our many years of experience in a host of different ways, ensuing their events are truly memorable for all attendees.”
Anna Valley’s director of Business Development, Dan Orchard added: “This is a creative and exciting way for venue, agency and technical supplier to come together. The Barbican is one of the world’s most inspiring venues, which in turn gives us scope to achieve incredible things. This partnership will allow us to deliver some truly exciting events for the Barbican’s clientele and we look forward to seeing it develop over the coming months.”
