Now in its 8th consecutive year, the SecsintheCity PA of the Year Awards acknowledge and celebrate the critical support that PAs and EAs provide to the businesses and individuals for whom they work.
Applications are open until 13 September 2019, when SecsintheCity’s panel of expert judges will shortlist nominees and invite them to interview before selecting winners for the following categories:
- PA of the Year
- Legal PA of the Year
- Outstanding Achievement Award
Additionally, for the 2019 awards they are extending the scope of their nominations to include a wider variety of office support workers through the introduction of a new Office Manager of the Year category.

Winning a PA of the Year Award is the ultimate recognition of your hard work and talent, as well as a significant career highlight.
Amy Franklyn, winner of Legal PA of the Year in 2018, said that she felt special on the night of the ceremony, with “everybody taking the time to speak to me and congratulate me on my nomination. It is always nice when somebody recognises your efforts.”
Amy is EA to the Head of Corporate at Bird & Bird LLP, winning her award as the manager of an 11-strong team of Legal PAs and in recognition of her establishing the Bird & Bird London PA network – the first of its kind in a law firm.
Of the interview process, Amy felt that “the judges were so nice and genuinely interested in my role” while the ceremony itself was “lovely and very well planned. It really was a special time.”
Susanna Tait, Chief Executive of specialist PA recruitment consultancy Tay Associates who sponsor the event, underlines the purpose of the Awards, stating that they were created “to champion the profession and acknowledge the significant contributions that PAs and EAs make to the organisations they work for.”
